![]() ![]() The manager, Stefan, was very approachable, which is refreshing. All staff were friendly, attentive and made you feel welcome to their island home. Also, we didn't sit out at night under the lights and preferred to sit on the bedroom lounge drinking a cup of tea while watching nature perform a nightly lightning show. ![]() We didn't find the mosquitoes any trouble - though we took our own repellent (Rid with Deet), and they did not like it at all. They are small and it provides a boutique experience. We agree with the management's consensus that the restaurants should be only for guests. Complimentary ice cream every day - need I say more? The butterfly-pea sorbet (flowers grown at the resort) was my favourite. We ate breakfast and had dinner 3 times (2 x Hilltop and 1 x Living Room), and as vegetarians, we found the selection to be broad and their mushroom pasta and beetroot risotto we excellent. Making my own coconut oil with Mr White at the Alchemy Bar was a hoot! Paddling to the mangroves was an effort well worth it - I was solo as this was when hubby was having his massage - and having a second set of arms would have been helpful, but I am so glad I did it - the serenity in the mangroves as amazing. For the second one I had booked him in for a 1-hour session only to discover he upsold to the 90 minutes - that's how good they are! I participated in some of the weekly activities, which I highly recommend. In fact, my husband who usually isn't keen to partake had two massages as well. ![]() I am particular about massages - and both my massages were perfect for me - I would go as far as to say the best I have had. The spa was well-equipped and very well-staffed. One morning I collected my eggs, and the chef made me a Thai-based omelette - YUMMO! We did the daily Hatha Yoga class and really enjoyed the different instructors with different routines. One minor hiccup is that this area - in a separate room - had everything on shelves that were too high/out of reach for me - luckily my trusty husband came to my rescue. They have dairy alternative milk - but you do need to ask for this. We eat cereal style and there we lots of healthy add-ons to choose from. The selection was excellent - it catered for all tastes. Then a coffee at our villa (they don't scrimp on coffee capsules), then breakfast was available from 7 am. Each morning we started the day with a sunrise swim in the sea. A plunge pool was in between that was surprisingly bigger than I had expected - I could swim (short) laps and a decent depth too. Great use of the space with a separate accommodation Villa and Sala for lounging. From the airport pickup, transfer to the boat and buggy collection from the jetty with our GEM - everything went smoothly. Ah, memories! My husband and I spent 6 glorious nights at Six Senses Yao Noi. Every time I thought of doing it, all I wanted to do was to go back. It has taken me a couple of weeks to write this review.
